Precautions:

• Take it 1 hour before or two hours following food.
• Do not take antacids 2 hours before or after the administration of Azithromycin.
• Diarrhea is a possible side effect, but it will cease when your course is finished. Let your doctor know if it doesn't stop or if you notice blood in your stools.
• Immediately stop taking Azithromycin and notify your doctor if you experience an itchy rash, swelling of the face, throat, or tongue, or difficulty in breathing while taking the drug.
