Dexrabeprazole Sodium Tablets is a type of medication known as a 'proton pump inhibitor' and is prescribed to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcers, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is a condition where the food pipe (oesophagus) is constantly flowed back by stomach acid. Peptic ulcers are ulcers that occur on the lining of the stomach and intestine. Zollinger-Ellison syndrome is marked by the development of tumours at the top of the small intestine, resulting in increased acid production.

Dexrabeprazole includes Dexrabeprazole, which acts by inhibiting the activity of proton pumps responsible for the generation of stomach acid. In this way, Dexrabeprazole decreases the formation of stomach acid and prevents backflow of excess acid into the food pipe. Thus, it relieves heartburn symptoms due to acid reflux.
