Cabergoline 0.5 Tablet: Cabergoline is applied in the treatment of hyperprolactinemia (high prolactin, a natural hormone that permits breast growth and milk secretion in women). Cabergoline prevents breast milk production shortly after stillbirth, abortion, miscarriage, or even after giving birth if you do not wish to breastfeed your baby after having initiated it. Apart from this, Cabergoline can also be administered for other disorders brought about by hormonal imbalance that may contribute to the development of elevated prolactin levels. This comprises absence of periods, sparse and minimal menstruation, periods where there is no ovulation, and the release of milk from your breast outside breastfeeding, even in situations where prolactin levels are elevated due to unidentified causes (idiopathic hyperprolactinemia) or tumours on the pituitary gland in men and women.
