Rabeprazole+ ondansetron is a stomach and intestine medicine, mainly utilized in the treatment of nausea, vomiting, ulcers in the stomach, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD), heartburn, and erosive oesophagitis (acid-related inflammation of the esophagus lining). Rabeprazole+ ondansetron is also employed in the treatment of Helicobacter pylori infections and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. GERD is a disorder that happens when stomach acid regularly backtracks into the food pipe (oesophagus). 

Rabeprazole+ ondansetron is a combination of two drugs: Rabeprazole and Ondansetron. Rabeprazole is a class of drugs known as 'proton pump inhibitors.' It inhibits the activity of the gastric proton pump that is involved in the secretion of acid in the stomach. This decreases the production of acid, cures the ulcers, and inhibits the development of new ulcers. Ondansetron is an anti-emetic (prevents vomiting) class of drug. It inhibits the effect of serotonin (chemical messenger) that causes nausea and vomiting.
