How It Works?

Zinc is a combination of vitamins and mineral supplements. Biotin is used to cure and prevent a vitamin B7 deficiency. It is necessary for the growth, production of fatty acids, and metabolism of fats and amino acids in cells. The body also requires biotin to make a protein called keratin that can have beneficial effects on the hair, skin, and nails. Folic acid is necessary to make red blood cells. It prevents and treats folate deficiency and anemia as well. Lysine is an essential amino acid that has a function in protein synthesis and tissue.

Methylcobalamin corrects vitamin B12 deficiency, thereby helping in treating certain anemias and nerve problems. Niacinamide (vitamin B3) lowers the level of cholesterol and other blood fats and raises good cholesterol. Vitamin D3 helps the body to more readily absorb the calcium in foods and supplements. The body requires zinc for proper functioning of its immune system. It's involved in growth, wound repair, and maintaining gut health and is required for the sense of taste and smell.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)

Is it safe to take methylcobalamin and vitamin D3 together?
Yes, they are often combined in the same product and perform no harm with one another, as they act on 2 different action pathways, but you can do it separately too.

What are vitamin B6, niacinamide, and vitamin B12 with L-lysine hydrochloride syrup used for?
It's a related but different formulation—generally this product is a supplement for general nutrition that contains vitamins B6 and B12 and amino acids (lysine) but not the vitamin D3, zinc, biotin, or folic acid included in this formulation (which includes seven ingredients) and described in this article.

What is each of these vitamins/B vitamins (methylcobalamin, zinc, vitamin B6, folic acid, niacinamide, and chromium) used for?
This variant is a combination of the two above, as it combines chromium with vitamin B6 and omits vitamin D3 and biotin, which are generally used at the same time, with a notable focus on blood sugar metabolism from the chromium.

Are there any side effects to B12, folic acid, or niacinamide shots?
Sometimes, injections may lead to pain, any degree of redness, or slight swelling at the site and, in rare cases, allergic reactions. The stomach upset is also generally less, and it is the oral syrup/tablet formulations that contain these ingredients.

Can children take this syrup?
There are numerous brands that fit into this category, and they're made for both adults and children, though they do come with varying doses according to the age and weight of the individual.

How many weeks or months before this syrup takes effect?
This really depends on the indication for which it has been prescribed. If it is to treat a diagnosed deficiency (such as low B12 or vitamin D), it may be able to be seen within a few weeks to months. If it is for general nutritional support, then there may be no "result" to be noticed within the first few months of use.
