    Amlodipine Besilate Tablet 5 Mg is a tablet that is prescribed to treat high blood pressure. The drug relaxes the blood vessels that cause the blood to move easily, hence decreasing the blood pressure.     • Do not chew, break or crush the tablet.

    • This medication is for long-term treatment. You should avoid suddenly stopping the medicine without consulting your doctor because it will lead to withdrawal symptoms.
    • Be cautious in getting up from a sitting or lying position directly since this medicine can sometimes lead to a sudden drop in your blood pressure, which may cause dizziness.
    • This medicine will make you dizzy, so try not to do anything that involves the use of your mind, particularly at the onset of treatment or until you are sure about how this medicine will affect you.
    • This drug may produce swelling in your feet and ankles, so attempt to elevate your legs on a low stool when you sit. See a doctor if this swelling concerns you.
